Litho Printing, also known as Lithography, Lithographic printing, Planography or Planographic Printing works on the basic principle that oil and water do not mix. Today Lithography is generally called Offset or Offset Lithography; both of these terms refer to the same Process. Offset Lithography works by rendering or etching the image to be printed onto a flat surface, (the plate) such as a sheet of aluminium, plastic or zinc. Next the image is transferred to a rubber roller (the blanket), and then finally to the substrate. We use only sustainable materials and inks for litho printing processes one of the only litho printing companies to do so. Whilst also offer litho and digital printing, depending on your requirements (digital vs litho printing).
We carry out all our litho printing in london as well as our offices in Brighton. We can cater for any business need with a focus on customer service and sustainability. If you have any questions, from offset litho printing , colour print our sustainable printing methods, please don’t hesitate to ask.
Lithography has equipment for short runs to long press runs. Sheet-fed and web presses are both used in lithography. Sheet-fed lithography is used for printing advertising, books, catalogues, greeting cards, posters, packaging, direct mail inserts, coupons, and art reproduction. Many sheet-fed lithography presses can ‘perfect’, print on both sides of the paper, in one pass through the press. Web lithography is used for newspapers, pre-printed newspaper inserts, advertising literature, catalogues, books and magazines.
”We are always happy to chat with our customers so call us if you have a question about our presses”.

Every business needs Letterheads and Compliment slips and every meeting is more memorable when you hand over a business card.
A business card is important, it says who you and your company are. The best business cards are a combination of good design and carefully chosen substrates. The standard choice for most business cards is 350gsm board which can be produced economically using a digital press. Heavier weights are available for a thicker more substantial business card, these are usually produced lithographically as most digital presses just cannot feed the heavier weights.
There are a myriad of finishing options available to make your card stand out from the rest including lamination, spot UV, foil blocking and die-cutting.
You don’t get a second chance to make a first impression so talk to us and we can help you stand out from the crowd.
When your customer opens up your letter the paper you choose for your letterheads says a lot about who you are.
There are many different stocks and different finishes to choose from. Popular choices are smooth uncoated, laid or textured and if you want to be really posh you could go for a watermarked vellum!
MCR media can also offer paper recycled from “Animal Poo!”, yes, that’s right, this is paper that is made from the waste deposits of Elephants & Rhinos. You can’t really get more recycled than that now can you!
MCR media can also offer “Seed Paper”, this is recycled paper that is embedded with wild flower seeds, so when the letter has been read you can simply plant it in your garden and some flowers will grow, helping our environment to look even more beautiful.
